This garlic cheese spread is exceptionally easy to make. Spread it on
hot toast or use as a sandwich filler or with baked potatoes. You
can even use it as a dip.
Feta is a Greek cheese made chiefly from sheep's milk. It has a crumbly
texture and a lovely piquant taste.
| See note on ingredients |
| 8oz (225 gm) Feta Cheese |
|
|
| 8oz (225 gm) Soft Cream Cheese |
|
|
| 1 or 2+ Tbsp Natural Yoghurt (Yogurt) |
|
Use 1 Tbsp for a thick spread, 2 or more for a thinner
dip
|
| 4 Cloves Garlic, crushed |
|
As always, adjust garlic according to taste.
Remember that the garlic will be raw and so very strong. |
| As usual I recommend using
organic ingredients wherever possible. |
Bung all the ingredients into a food processor, whizz until
smooth.
That's it!
Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the fridge.
Adjust the yoghurt to get the consistency you want. One or two
tablespoons will give a thick spread perfect as a sandwich filler or toast topper.
Two or more tablespoons will give a thinner result better suited as
a dip.
If you're serving this as a dip at a party, you can up the garlic
level even further with
garlic breadsticks and even garlic
stuffed olives. Just choose your guests carefully!
